What is the causes of global warming?

Hye everyone... Miera Impreza is coming...
Now i would like to share with you about the causes of global warming. Do you know what is the causes of global warming? Global warming was happen with many factors. The changes of our environment can give more effect to our live. Sometimes,we don’t know that this is happen because our behaviour. So,let’s we see the main causes of global warming.

1. Human activities

Human activities such as deforestration, manufacturing and industry events, forest exploration, use of fossil fuels and others activities is contribute to global warming. For example, besides the deforestration activities, plants use carbon dioxide to conduct photosynthesis process. Forest Logging causes a continuous loss of forest vegetation that will be protective to absorb sunlight and excess gas carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Based on the scientist and geographic, they agree that the main causes of global warming is thining ozone layer caused by gas emissions especially klorofluorcarbon (CFC). If we are concerned and aware, in 2005 season occurrence of hurricanes is very active. This is related to the incident of 26 storms 14 tornadoes incident which happen before this. For the first time, the violent hurricanes such as Katrina, Rita, and Wilma was happen in the season. This phenomenon not only happen in amerika, but also occurred attacks the other countries such as China, Korea and beaches around North China Sea.

2. Green house effect

Do you know green effect also contribute to global warming?

This also is very dangerous for human life and environment. Green house was happen because of increased occurrence of gas emissions such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen monoxide, and methane into the atmosphere. For example release the CFC gases such as air conditioning, aerosols, refrigerators and others.

Not at all, global warming is also caused by island occurs when heat which the heat emissions in the developing world especially in the cities too much and stuck by building high skyscrapers and this incident cannot be released to the atmosphere will be heating surrounding region.

Prove that we are in middle of crisis

Mount Hood, 11,239 feet, seen from south in late August 1976, and from the same viewpoint 26 and 33 years later. August was often the last of summer in the 70s, usually the final time to make a clear photo of the mountain before snows started. By the 00s, summers lasted longer, temperature has risen, and all glaciers on Mt. Hood show thinning and shrinking as measured by glaciologists. Great change is seen in the 7 years between the latest photos.

What are the causes of global warming?

Olaa 1 malaysia..
Do you know how global warming was happen? People not really care and know about that..but don’t worry.. I can help u.. Now,i want to cOntinue this topic with explain more details about global warming..

What are the causes of global warming?

1- Human activities

  • Human activities are considered one of the main causes of global warming. Several human activities increase the emission of certain greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. When fossil fuels such as oils, natural gas, and coal, in addition to wood, wood products, and solid waste are burned they emit Carbon Dioxide. During both industrial and agricultural activities and the combustion of solid waste and fossil fuels nitrous oxide is emitted. The actual percentage of Carbon dioxide recorded is and increase by 31% since 1750 and about ¾ of this increase is from deforestation and the burning of fossil fuels.

Science Links Global Warming to Human Activity

In February 2007, a report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), representing the work of 2,500 scientists from more than 130 countries, stated that human activity "very likely" has been the primary cause of global warming since 1950. (In science, nothing is ever claimed to be "certain" or absolute, which leaves open the possibility of further research and discovery, but the term “very likely” indicates more than 90 percent certainty and is considered virtual confirmation.) The IPCC report also said that human activity has been a major contributor to climate change since the start of the Industrial in the mid-1700s.

2- The greenhouse effect

  • When sunlight reaches Earth's surface some is absorbed and warms the earth and most of the rest is radiated back to the atmosphere at a longer wavelength than the sun light. Some of these longer wavelengths are absorbed by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere before they are lost to space. The absorption of this longwave radiant energy warms the atmosphere. These greenhouse gases act like a mirror and reflect back to the Earth some of the heat energy which would otherwise be lost to space. The reflecting back of heat energy by the atmosphere is called the "greenhouse effect".

  • The major natural greenhouse gases are water vapor, which causes about 36-70% of the greenhouse effect on Earth (not including clouds); carbon dioxide CO2, which causes 9-26%; methane, which causes 4-9%, and ozone, which causes 3-7%. It is not possible to state that a certain gas causes a certain percentage of the greenhouse effect, because the influences of the various gases are not additive. Other greenhouse gases include, but are not limited to, nitrous oxide, sulfur hexafluoride, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and chlorofluorocarbons.

Effects of Global Warming

Global warming, or climate change, is a subject that shows no sign of cooling down.
Here's the lowdown on effect how it might change the planet.

Is It Happening?
  • Yes. Earth is already showing many signs of worldwide climate change. Average temperatures have climbed 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit (0.8 degree Celsius) around the world since 1880, much of this in recent decades, according to NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
  • The rate of warming is increasing. The 20th century's last two decades were the hottest in 400 years and possibly the warmest for several millennia, according to a number of climate studies. And the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports that 11 of the past 12 years are among the dozen warmest since 1850.
  • The Arctic is feeling the effects the most. Average temperatures in Alaska, western Canada, and eastern Russia have risen at twice the global average, according to the multinational Arctic Climate Impact Assessment report compiled between 2000 and 2004.
  • Arctic ice is rapidly disappearing, and the region may have its first completely ice-free summer by 2040 or earlier. Polar bears and indigenous cultures are already suffering from the sea-ice loss.
  • Glaciers and mountain snows are rapidly melting—for example, Montana's Glacier National Park now has only 27 glaciers, versus 150 in 1910. In the Northern Hemisphere, thaws also come a week earlier in spring and freezes begin a week later.
  • Coral reefs, which are highly sensitive to small changes in water temperature, suffered the worst bleaching—or die-off in response to stress—ever recorded in 1998, with some areas seeing bleach rates of 70 percent. Experts expect these sorts of events to increase in frequency and intensity in the next 50 years as sea temperatures rise.
  • An upsurge in the amount of extreme weather events, such as wildfires, heat waves, and strong tropical storms, is also attributed in part to climate change by some experts.

What's Going to Happen?
  • A follow-up report by the IPCC released in April 2007 warned that global warming could lead to large-scale food and water shortages and have catastrophic effects on wildlife.
  • Sea level could rise between 7 and 23 inches (18 to 59 centimeters) by century's end, the IPCC's February 2007 report projects. Rises of just 4 inches (10 centimeters) could flood many South Seas islands and swamp large parts of Southeast Asia.
  • Some hundred million people live within 3 feet (1 meter) of mean sea level, and much of the world's population is concentrated in vulnerable coastal cities. In the U.S., Louisiana and Florida are especially at risk.
  • Glaciers around the world could melt, causing sea levels to rise while creating water shortages in regions dependent on runoff for fresh water.
  • Strong hurricanes, droughts, heat waves, wildfires, and other natural disasters may become commonplace in many parts of the world. The growth of deserts may also cause food shortages in many places.
  • More than a million species face extinction from disappearing habitat, changing ecosystems, and acidifying oceans.
  • The ocean's circulation system, known as the ocean conveyor belt, could be permanently altered, causing a mini-ice age in Western Europe and other rapid changes.
  • At some point in the future, warming could become uncontrollable by creating a so-called positive feedback effect. Rising temperatures could release additional greenhouse gases by unlocking methane in permafrost and undersea deposits, freeing carbon trapped in sea ice, and causing increased evaporation of water.

What is Climategate?
  • In late November 2009, hackers unearthed hundreds of emails at the U.K.'s University of East Anglia that exposed private conversations among top-level British and U.S. climate scientists discussing whether certain data should be released to the public. [Do we know who the hackers were? Were they skeptics? Might be worth noting] The email exchanges also refer to statistical tricks used to illustrate climate change? trends, and call climate skeptics idiots, according to the New York Times. One such trick was used to create the well-known hockey-stick graph, which shows a sharp uptick in temperature increases during the 20th century.
  • Former U.S vice president Al Gore relied heavily on the graph as evidence of human-caused climate change in the documentary An Inconvenient Truth. The data used for this graph come from two sources: thermostat readings and tree-ring samples. While thermostat readings have consistently shown a temperature rise over the past hundred years, tree-ring samples show temperature increases stalling around 1960.
  • On the hockey-stick graph, thermostat-only data is grafted onto data that incorporates both thermostat and tree-ring readings, essentially presenting a seamless picture of two different data sets, the hacked emails revealed. But scientists argue that dropping the tree-ring data was no secret and has been written about in the scientific literature for years. Climate change skeptics have heralded the emails as an attempt to fool the public, according to the Times. Yet climate scientists maintain that these controversial points are small blips that are inevitable in scientific research, and that the evidence for human-induced climate change is much broader and still widely accepted.
  • Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, cloud forests are drying, and wildlife is scrambling to keep pace. It's becoming clear that humans have caused most of the past century's warming by releasing heat-trapping gases as we power our modern lives. Called greenhouse gases, their levels are higher now than in the last 650,000 years.
  • We call the result global warming, but it is causing a set of changes to the Earth's climate, or long-term weather patterns, that varies from place to place. As the Earth spins each day, the new heat swirls with it, picking up moisture over the oceans, rising here, settling there. It's changing the rhythms of climate that all living things have come to rely upon. What will we do to slow this warming? How will we cope with the changes we've already set into motion? While we struggle to figure it all out, the face of the Earth as we know it—coasts, forests, farms and snow-capped mountains—hangs in the balance.

An Introduction: What is Global Warming

see all these wildlife going to extinct only because you don't aware of their life..
just something from you make their life whole different..

Now you know briefly about global warming
stay with us to find more about global warming..

What is Global Warming?

Global warming refer to an increasing on earth temperature by human activities. Human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas) and the clearing of land contribute to global warming by enhancing Earth's natural greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect warms Earth's surface through a complex process involving sunlight, gases, and particles in the atmosphere. Gases that trap heat in the atmosphere are known as greenhouse gases. By using satellite scientist has identified that our earth have become hotter than before since the late of 1880's. Scientists afraid that human societies and natural ecosystems might not adapt to rapid climate changes

The person who significant to global warming issue is Al gore. Mr. Gore is the author of An Inconvenient Truth, a best-selling book on the threat of and solutions to global warming in US, and the subject of the movie of the same title, which has already become one of the top documentary films in history. Global warming can make catastrophic disaster for human.
It is not to late for us to change the future of our earth. But how can we help earth?

PREVENT GLOBAL WARMING

“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.”
anne frank

The general opinion among climate scientist that global temperature will continue to significantly increase had lead to many nations, states, corporation and individuals introducing measures to prevent and mitigate global warming with proposals for further measures.

How to Prevent Global Warming: Top 10 Ways to Stop Global Warming
(recommend by ways-to-stop-global-warming.com)

Raise Awareness

As human, we do have a power to change the world. we manipulate source around us for our uses. So, its our responsibilities that we the one who should care the environment. But we can see now that we do not care of our Earth the way we should. Its not going to work or its not fair for us if only some of us that practice lifestyle that suit to environment.
Its crucial that an idea of life style that blend well with world chances its spread among us.
Right here i'm suggesting all of us to show and practice of course the idea of ideal life that include the richness of mother nature as part of our daily life.. After all we only have one 'HOME'.
There is few ways you well including me.. to take part in Earth conservation in order to control Global warming, such as:
• Taking part in global and community events such as Earth Day. Get involved in your community!

For further infomation go to;
Choose Alternative Transportation
If you think that Earth conservation is cost consume. Than, you will not say that to these method. Yes of course it cost a lot by buying a hybrid CAR of example but in long term investment it does save your money by minimize the fuel cost. Moreover, you do greatly reduce carbon dioxide emission. ITS LIKE WIN-WIN SITUATION.
AND if you are student like me than take the public transport such as bus, train, or ride a bike or walk if your close to your destination is an ideal way to show how much you love EARTH.

"Carbon emissions from single person car transport is the number one most preventable carbon emitter."

Choose Energy Efficient Appliances On a New Purchase

Do I need to elaborate this?? well if your guys WANT TO BUY ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES the first thing you should do is searching the Energy Star blue label, as been mention before if you overuse the source like electrical you actually contribute to destruction of EARTH. Not only you need to pay more on electric bill.
But belive me, I do had experience with products which doesn't had these label well all of them is not long lasting.

"Nearly half the energy in a home is used by your dryer or washing machine."

in case you never see the ENERGY STAR BLUE LABEL

Well if buying appliances its out of budget than its not so money consume if you purchase energy efficient light bulbs that can use 60% less energy than normal light bulbs. You can save around 300 pounds of carbon dioxide in a year by replacing a single light bulb. And as been mention before no doubt that you pay least on electric bill.

Turn off Electronics

Some of us might think that when you let your electronics like your computer in 'stand by' mode you actually reduce the electric usage compare to shut down and start it back. Well its all is myth, if you really want to cut of your bill than keep it on your list TURN OFF ELECTRONICS if you not use it.

Sustainable Infrastructure
Its also been encourage for people create a sustainable infrastructure by using environmentally friendly construction products and when build a new house or renovate be sure to consider a heat conserving and natural cooling design as it’s a best way to allow for a steady future where at the very least the modern bui
ldings will use less energy and emit less greenhouse gases.

Invest in Alternative Energy
The investment in even one alternative energy source can make a huge difference to any lifestyle. This is already becoming apparent in developing countries where energy microcredit is being used to create sustainable energy at a low cost one village at a time. Making the investment in these programs or in your own household can make have both environmental and financial benefits.
